I. COURSE OBJECTIVES
- To develop a lifelong learning society
- To enhance the quality of legal education
- To become legal professionals
- To increase the number of citizens who succeed in and comprehend legal affairs in constructing a modern developed country.
- To access and understand the law, legal system and legal terminology
- To apply the law in a wide range of situations
- To get valuable experience in information technology and to grow human resources who possess the ability to use advanced technology.
II. DISCIPLINARY MATTERS
1. Teaching materials including lecture notes, audio, video and power point lessons may be downloaded for self-study after admission.
2. Face-to-Face programs are held in on campus classrooms on Saturdays and Sundays after admission and near examinations.
3. Submission of assignments is compulsory. Students must submit written assignments in the softcopy of the website. The assignment marks are recorded as part of the examination. 8 Assignments must be submitted for each subject within the specified date.
4. Submission of answers relating to tutorial tests is also compulsory for the tutorial tests held in mid semesters. The marks received for tutorial tests are recorded as part of the examination.
5. Give yourself 60 minutes to complete the tutorial test under your own arrangements for accessing the network.
6. At the end of each semester, examinations (in person) shall be held in the Online Exam Centre at YUDE.Assignments, tutorials and exam questions are arranged under a random system.
7. Submission of the complete term paper is conducted at the end of the second semester for the PGDL course.
8. Students must read the announcements on the homepage of the website.
9. PGDL, DIPL, LLB, BA (Law) and LLM graduates are invited to the YUDE Convocation Ceremony as scheduled.
- The students are allowed to bring any printed or written materials to an examination except for the LLM Students.
III. IMPORTANT NOTES
Online legal education is not a one-way process. The communication flow should be circular (from the teacher to the student and back to the teacher) and we strongly encourage feedback.
IV. CONDUCT DURING EXAMINATIONS
According to the University Manual, any student who has not complied with the course requirements (including submission of answers relating to tutorial tests) may not be permitted to take the examination. The students are allowed to bring any printed or written materials to an examination except mobile phones.
